(YES, Barb, you can use it for icons. :-))
I’d forgotten what a sheer JOY it is to simply draw the strips & the characters, without worrying about consistency or accuracy between frames. Even the minor characters (the stoners & the groupie, here) are a lot of fun to re-do! I’d gotten into the habit of doing fast one-frame “wallpapers”, because it was so much easier to do, rather than have to redraw & redraw & re-ink & redraw 4 or 5 frames.
In 2 weeks, I’m taking an “advanced” Illustrator class — HOPEFULLY it’ll cover better coloring techniques. That’s the only complaint I have about Illustrator, its coloring capabilities seem so LIMITED. Granted, that works for a simple comic strip like this, but I’d like to be able to accomplish some of the advanced coloring work that Dear Husbun did with the wallpapers & Christmas strips…or the Evolution Photo Shoot strips (which will also be re-worked — I’m going to simply pass those to Brett & hopefully he can open ’em in Photoshop for HIS magic!).
The last few days have been HELL — massive allergy attack + cold = One Miserable Person.
Oh — AND BRETT GOT A JOB!!!!
