Just got my free author’s copies of The Severed Earth in the mail today, and they’re GORGEOUS…and BIG. Ye gods, I wasn’t quite expecting this to be that hefty! Though…well….in contrast, the first book of Wheel of Time was over 300k words, the first Game of Thrones was just under 300k, Fellowship of the Ring was 187k…so my 130k words is about on target, I guess.
If other writers out there go through CreateSpace, the new matte covers are simply wonderful. They’re…they’re…HUGGABLE. Pardon me while I SQUEEE like an idiot and dance around the room (tripping over cats all the while). I’m now an Official Independent Author!
