Okay. Now that I'm more copacetic and aware: I've re-listened to Eclipse. And re-listened. And listened again. "Resonate" still hits hard; for me, it's that powerful, just as "After All These Years" was. Likely because I *know* that feeling, heart-and-soul deep (I'm blessed with my husband, and I know it). AND it's a wonder to … Continue reading Eclipse, part II
Journey’s Eclipse
Finally got the CD, thanks to a birthday gift from Mom. It's been hard to pay attention to it due to the various medical issues; I'm currently lying on the couch, exhausted and fatigued. Latest joker in the deck has been heart-pounding/fluttering/dizziness brought on by severe iron anemia (at least, that's the current theory from … Continue reading Journey’s Eclipse
just a rant
most of my updates are taking place over on Facebook now. Last post on the whole matter here. I'm on Short Term Disability for now. After having gone three months without being able to work a full week, it's finally hit the point where the attacks were happening too irregular (and still frequently) for regular … Continue reading just a rant
Jonathan Cain interview at Boomerocity
Where Jonathan takes on life, the universe and everything... Though I take issue with his viewpoint on Napster and Arrival. I was one of those who downloaded Arrival when it appeared on Napster; I freely admit that. I'm a Journey fan -- what ELSE did you expect me to do, given news that new music … Continue reading Jonathan Cain interview at Boomerocity
stressed.
so they're gonna be attempting a scope tomorrow to try to get the capsule out. Yeah. A scope (they call it a "push enteroscopy" because it pushes past where they normally do scopes -- not really what I needed to hear, Ms. Nurse). And the xray had shown this thing was in the lower abdomen. … Continue reading stressed.
holy shite…
So as a way of dealing with the stress and chaos, me & Brett spent today clearing & cleaning out the apartment. Scrubbed down the bedroom, bathroom, computer room, dusted the place to an inch of its life, 3 bags of books out to Half Price Books, we're discussing getting rid of two desks, etc … Continue reading holy shite…
it never ends
so yesterday, I had the pre-test for the video capsule endoscopy; basically I swallowed a test pill so they could make sure that the real pill would pass & not get stuck & cause problems. The pill THIS time was smaller than the last time I had this done, about like a large vitamin. Now, … Continue reading it never ends
Into my life, ANOTHER character walks…
Well, I ran into Vao, Jonathan, and Dylan in San Francisco; they've popped in from time to time here in Columbus, and MAN, it's scary to run into one's characters like that (especially Vao. ESPECIALLY Vao in SF -- it was too scarily close, him and his whole family, as I'd described them in the … Continue reading Into my life, ANOTHER character walks…
Fanfic Alert. :)
I've been re-reading Barb's Wielding series (yeah, Journey fanfic, get over it, non-fan-readers). Still a fun read, even after all these years.
AGAIN
Brett's going to be laid off as of 3/31. The med billing place he's with is not doing well; they've basically laid off about a third of their workers this past month. If anyone has any leads to medical coding/billing jobs, send them along. Even if you just ask your doctor who they got thru.
